Busy Bee Fashion and Art is a community-oriented studio for kids and adults to learn to sew. Whether you want to make pillows or haute couture, we have you covered here. 

Our studio is an inclusive place for all kids and adults- no hate here! Learn valuable skills in a safe and encouraging environment. 

Melissa has over 5 years of experience teaching sewing and fashion design, and it is her passion! She has seen the skills she teaches transform kids into confident and independent young adults. It's amazing to see a kid, shocked at their own abilities, see that they made something they can actually use or wear. 

As she was once one of those kids, she can confidently say that it's an amazing feeling that stays with you forever. 

Melissa has a degree in graduate adolescent social studies education from the College of Staten Island, CUNY. For the past 8 years, she has worked in a variety of informal educational settings, from after school programs to specialized summer camps.
